Desk Copy Policy
The Institute is happy to provide desk, examination, and review copies of its publications.
Desk and Examination Copies
Instructors in North America who have assigned a PIMS paperback as a course text, or who wish to receive a complimentary copy of a PIMS paperback for consideration as a course text, should send an email to megan.jones@utoronto.ca.
Please place your request as soon as possible, at least eight weeks before the start of the class but ideally ten to twelve weeks. (Books sometimes need to be reprinted and current supply chain issues have increased timelines for printing.)
The request should include:
- The ISBN of the paperback book that is requested;
- The instructor's name;
- The course title and semester;
- The number of students enrolled;
- The academic institution mailing address to which the book should be sent. (Books will not be sent to residential addresses.)
Review Copies
Scholarly journals wishing to obtain a review copy of a PIMS publication should send an email to megan.jones@utoronto.ca with the request.
(Note: the journal Mediaeval Studies, published by PIMS, does not publish reviews and therefore does not accept books for review.)
