Lisa Schwab

M. Elisabeth Schwab is currently a postdoc at the Department of Medieval and Renaissance Latin at the University of Cologne (Germany). She earned her PhD from the Georg-August-University of Göttingen, which will be published in the summer of 2019 entitled “Grasping Antiquity” (original title: “Antike begreifen, Antiquarische Texte und Praktiken in Rom von Francesco Petrarca bis Bartolomeo Marliano”, series: Quellen und Untersuchungen zur lateinischen Philologie des Mittelalters, Hiersemann Verlag). She has published a number of articles and book chapters on the reception of classical authors in the Italian Renaissance. Her most recent publication is a translation of the Epistle to the Colossians from the Vulgate together with Andreas Schwab (series: Tusculum, De Gruyter 2018). At the PIMS she will work on relics in the early medieval period.
