The Alpharabius Ensemble (Dr George Sawa & colleagues) is joined by members of SINE NOMINE and Middle Eastern dancer Asli Dedeagac to explore musical connections and confrontations between East and West, featuring classical and traditional music of Syria and Egypt, Ottoman instrumental pieces, 13th-century Spanish music of popular devotion, Italian dances of the 14th century, and more.
