Dr. Davide Bertagnolli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Bologna. As a Visiting Scholar, he came to PIMS in June 2025 to conduct research on the use of numbers in the medieval German epic poem Nibelungenlied.  He is currently working on the first Italian edition of Van den vos Reynaerde, the celebrated masterpiece of medieval Dutch literature.
