Seminar: “Loving your Life at the Turn of the Fifteenth Century”
Fiona Somerset (University of Connecticut)
Professor Somerset has published numerous books, edited collections, and articles in the field of late medieval English literature. Her most recent monograph is Feeling Like Saints: Lollard Writings After Wyclif (Cornell University Press, 2014); she is also the author of Clerical Discourse and Lay Audience in Late Medieval England (Cambridge University Press, 1998). Her many articles and essays, covering topics from Lollardy to Langland, Chaucer, vernacularity, spirituality, and emotion, appear in venues including Yearbook of Langland Studies, ELH, and Studies in the Age of Chaucer.
