Good News for Former Mellon Fellows
Congratulations to Benjamin Barootes and Lydia Walker on their recent appointments.
Benjamin Barootes (Mellon Fellow, 2018–2019) has been given a tenure-track position at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He will be an Assistant Professor in the Department of English on the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University, which is at Corner Brook on the west coast of Newfoundland, down the road from the Viking settlement of L’anse aux Meadows. He will start on 1 August 2021.
Lydia Walker (Mellon Fellow, 2019–2020) has been given a tenure-track position at Barton College, a small, private college in Wilson, North Carolina. She will be an Assistant Professor of History and Religion and will start on 16 August 2021.
