Dr. Alessandro Zironi is full professor of Germanic Philology in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Bologna. He is President of the Italian Association for Germanic Philology. As a Visiting Scholar, he came to PIMS in June 2025 to research the reception of the figure of Theoderic the Great, King of the Ostrogoths, in Anglo-Saxon England and Old Norse culture.
