Book Launch for Books and Bookmen

The Institute has launched a new Festschrift in honour of James Carley, Books and Bookmen in Early Modern Britain. This collection of eighteen essays explores how early modern uses of books have changed our reception of premodern writing.


PIMS York Fellow 2018–2019

The Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies welcomes Professor Deanne Williams as the York Fellow at PIMS for the 2018–2019 academic year.


PIMS Leadership Transition

Dr Richard Alway, after 10 years of voluntary leadership of the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies, has indicated to the Board of Governors his intention to retire once his successor has been chosen.
