Anne Schuurman (University of Western Ontario)
Professor Anne Schuurman works on late medieval English poetry and prose, especially Chaucer, as well as medieval women’s writing, devotional writing, reader response, affect, and anthropological approaches to literature. Her recent research looks at the representation of affect and penitence in Chaucer. She is also interested in concepts of value, exchange, and economy in fourteenth-century England. Anne's publications appear in journals including Chaucer Review, Studies in the Age of Chaucer, and PMLA.
