Susannah Fisher

Susannah Fisher earned her PhD at Rutgers University in 2012 with a dissertation “Materializing the Word: Ottonian Liturgical Manuscript Covers and Viewer Reception”; she has taught in the Department of Art History at Rutgers University and was a Research Fellow 2013–2014 at Bard Graduate Center. She published “A Touching Image: Andrea Mantegna’s Engraving of the Virgin and Child,” Rutgers Art Review 29 (2013). Her Mellon Research project entails the completion of a book, The Form of Faith: Liturgical Art and Environments in the Age of the Ottonians.
